Boogeyman Pop
Worked with filmmaker Brad Michael Elmore on chapter cards for his film Boogeyman Pop—three interweaving coming of age stories distinguished by its own chapter, revolving around a bat-wielding boogeyman who stalks the night in a rusty old Cadillac.
Brad wanted to convey a different theme for each chapter. Referencing sketches he had made for each, I simplified the design by reducing each theme to its own hand-lettered style, unified by one bold color on black. I then animated the cards to further express their feeling.
